She struggled with the pop-top for a little while, then realized that she could unscrew it, and after she did that, she poured out all the color directly into the bathwater. After that, I opened the pop tops for her, but it's still an awkward toy to use -- too stiff to squeeze easily, and you have to keep the point down while writing, which is not too easy for little kids.
