I received this item as a gift, and since my 10 month old daughter didn't have any other stacker toys at the time, I left it out as a playtime toy rather than putting it in the bath. It is very heavy and sturdy, and my daughter (who just learned to walk and plomps down on her bottom several times a day) plomped down on it and got a little round bruise on her upper thigh/lower buttocks...a dark, deep bruise. She cried and cried. It's a great bathtime toy, which is why I gave it 3 stars, but NOT safe outside the bath.
